 The annual report card is a summary of the monthly plans and achivements of Dibburhalli, one of the two GPs engaged in the action research project. The report card comprises Planned activities, Process metric to measure progress, baseline, target and achievements against plan and budgets. Plans of multiple functions: Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Education, Health, Water, Revenue generation etc. are included in the report. It is note worthy that the Gram Panchayats monitored their plans in monthly meetings, discussing achievements, challenges and deciding on course corrections.

Achievement cards were prepared for each of the elected members who assumed additional responsibility as Heads of Portfolios during their tenure, investing substantial time to ensure implementation of panchayat goals. The Achievements cards, based on detailed discussions with each member, were prepared to recognise their efforts and were presented to the elected members at the end of their tenure, along with a token gift

The report was an outcome of a preliminary study commissioned by Pradan, to explore the scope of interventions towards strengthening rural local governance in the states of Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh. It comprises an overview of the status of Devolution in India, based on literature survey. As per the Devolution Index report, 2015, TISS and Union Ministry of Panchayat Raj, the report states the status of the two states under study, Madhya Pradesh being somewhere in the middle (9 out of 25) while Jharkhand has been a poor performing state. The report dwells into a deeper analysis of Panchayat Raj Institutions and citizen engagement based on field visits and discussions with multiple stakeholders. The focus of the study has been to understand the implications of the legal framework to the extent they help understand the potential to work with panchayats, as well as a preliminary understanding of status on ground. Initial recommendations for way forward are included in the report.

This paper was an outcome of Strengthening Panchayat Action for Community Empowerment (SPACE) project, a collaboration between PRADAN and Anode Governance Lab, the document describes our approach and steps towards enabling agriculture sector through local Gram Panchayats, issues emerging during implementation and recommendations based out of the learnings from the field over 2 years of intervention

The report was an outcome of a research study commissioned by Pradan in July 2017, to assess the status of Panchayat Raj Institutions in Madhya Pradesh. This study was undertaken with a view to get an in-depth understanding of the present status of devolution to PRIs in the state of Madhya Pradesh.
This study seeks to achieve this understanding for MP by:
1. Analysing the Panchayat Raj avam Gram Swaraj Adhiniyam, 2001
2. Studying the various Amendments and the notifications issued by the state to understand the extent of devolution of functions, funds functionaries
3. Analysing the extensive decentralized planning process instituted by the MP State: Planning Commission to understand the bottom-up planning process and the needs/requirements and aspirations of the villages /GPs.
4. Corroborate the plans evolved by the state planning commission with the recent demands that have emerged of the Gramoday se Bharat Uday abhiyan to get a deeper understanding of the needs and requirements of GP’

The report was an outcome of a research study commissioned by Pradan in April 2016, to understand the devolution status of transferred subjects in Jharkhand. The report dwells into deeper analysis of the Jharkhand Panchayat Raj (JPR) Act, 2001 and corresponding schemes, rules and notifications relating to devolution to panchayats.  This primary research was conducted in five GPs in Basia block, Gumla district, that were identified along with Pradan and where the organisation development interventions in partnership with GPs will further be piloted
